About Ras Gulla – Rasgulla’s Bengali dessert is famous all over India. Rasgulla is called Raso Gulla in Bengal. It is actually an Orissa dessert. It is very easy to make at home.
To make Ras Gulla, you need the ingredients – milk, sugar and lemon juice. Which is present in every kitchen.
How to make rasgulla from milk is being told in this recipe.

Number of rasgullas – 12 rasgullas
1 liter cow milk, 2 tbsp lemon, 1.5 cups sugar, 4 cups water, 2-3 green cardamom etc.
Note- 1. Rasgullas are made better and tastier than cow’s milk. You can use fatty milk from any company. 2. You can also make paneer at home and buy it from outside.
Method of preparation of rasgulla
Boil the milk in a thin pot and squeeze a large spoonful of water and the juice of 1 lemon.
Now when the milk boils, reduce the heat to low.
And now slowly add lemon juice to the water
And kept stirring the milk with a spoon.
Milk will burst in 1-2mint
And now with the help of 1 cotton cloth, separate the water and cottage cheese.
And now to remove sourness of lemon, add 2-3 glasses of water to the paneer.
Now open the cloth and put it in a big plate.
Now hang this paneer through some means so that the remaining water also gets removed.
Paneer should not be too dry and too wet.
Keep crushing the paneer in the hand until the paneer becomes like dough. Stop rubbing once the moisture starts coming in the palm.
Divide the kneaded cheese into 12-13 round pieces.
Add 4 cups of water and 1.5 cups of sugar and 2-3 cardamoms in a wide-mouth pan or a press cooker. And wait for Chasani to be made.
Once the Chasani starts boiling, add the balls made into it.
Cover the pot and allow it to cook on a high flame.
Now take out the rasgullas in 1 big vessel and leave it to cool for 5-6 hours. Now your rasgullas are ready to be served and eaten.
